Learn French Using a Business Training Budget

Maximise your government training budget to partly or fully subsidise your French lessons with Gallico. Whether you’re based in Chamonix, or elsewhere in France, we’re here to make your language-learning journey seamless and affordable.

How We Can Help You

  • Clarify Your Entitlement: Have questions about your training budget? We’ll help you determine your eligibility and entitlement.
  • End-to-End Support: From submitting your application to liaising with the training budget organisation, we handle the entire process through to approval and payment.
  • Use your CPF with us: All our courses are Qualiopi-certified and fully eligible for funding through your CPF budget.  See below for guidance on how to use your cpf entitlement.

Eligibility

The following groups are eligible for training budgets:

  1. Employees on French Employment Contracts
    • Includes seasonal contracts (CDD).
  2. Auto-Entrepreneurs
    • If you are registered as a French Auto-Entrepreneur, you may be eligible for a training budget that can cover up to 100% of your French studies. Your entitlement typically starts from the calendar year following your first income declaration.
  3. French Business Owners/Company Directors
    • If you own a French-registered business and pay social charges in France (URSSAF/RSI), you may qualify for a training budget to cover up to 100% of your French lessons.
  4. International Students
    • Certain international students may also qualify. Contact us to explore your options.
  5. Other Eligible Profiles
    • Individuals over 16 years old.
    • Job seekers (Speak to your France Travail advisor or ask us for more information).
    • Public sector employees.
    • Persons with disabilities.
    • Apprentices (aged 15+ by exception).

Any of the profiles listed above may be eligible to create a Personal Training Account (CPF), allowing them to finance training courses and earn certifications.

Where do you start?

To get started, you’ll need to create your Personal Training Account (CPF) on the official website:

moncompteformation.gouv.fr

The process is quick and straightforward—it only takes a few minutes:

  1. Click ‘Create an account’ in the top right-hand corner.
  2. Fill in the required information, including your name, social security number, contact details, and a password.
  3. That’s it! Your account is ready to use.

Set Up Your Digital Identity

To use your CPF for a training program, you’ll also need to create a digital identity. This can be done through La Poste Identité Numérique or France Identité.

After creating your account:
  • Check your training entitlements: Your available credits are displayed in euros, not training hours.
  • Start with existing credits: Even if you’ve just set up your account, you’ll already have CPF credits available to use for training.
  • Annual credit accumulation: Your account is credited every year on April 1st, and any unused credits roll over, allowing you to build up your balance over time.
Once you have reviewed your entitlements:
  • Choose one of our Gallico programs from the CPF catalog or click here.
  • If the available programs don’t align with your project, we can adapt a program to suit your needs. Simply contact us directly here.
  • Click the “Request a Quote / Demander un devis” button to proceed.

Once your application has been validated and deemed eligible, you’ll need to pay a €100 contribution to access your course through your CPF. For more details, read our article here.

We validate your training request, and you gain access to your course!

To use your CPF, the training must provide ‘certification’. This means you must complete an approved qualification at the end of your course. We offer the following certifications:
  • CLOE (English, French as a Foreign Language, Spanish, Italian, German)
  • ENI (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Web Design)

You have two options for additional funding:

1. Employer Top-Up / Voluntary Employer Contribution

When you reach Step 3 above (accessing the course details), you can request additional funding from your employer before clicking “Submit My Application.”

  • Download the PDF of your request.
  • Discuss it with your employer, who will need to review the PDF.
  • If your employer agrees to contribute, the top-up is processed directly on the website: www.financeurs.moncompteformation.gouv.fr.
  • Once approved, you can enroll in your chosen Gallico course.

2. Pôle Emploi Top-Up

If you are a job seeker, contact your Pôle Emploi advisor to request additional funding.

3. Personal Financing

If employer or Pôle Emploi funding is not an option, you can choose to cover the remaining balance yourself.
