News! 100€ Contribution required for cpf-funded courses

Is this the first time you’re using your CPF this year?
From 2 May 2024, each beneficiary of the Personal Training Account (CPF) must now pay €100 for each enrolment in an eligible training course, including language training programmes. The aim of this reform is to encourage responsible use of funds while boosting the economy.
🔎 Background to the reform
The groundwork for this reform dates back to the spring of 2023, when Bruno Le Maire, Minister of the Economy, announced the reintroduction of a co-payment for CPF beneficiaries. In response to budgetary concerns and occasional misuse of CPF funds, the government’s goal was to encourage more relevant training choices by requiring users to contribute financially. Initially, the idea was to have users pay 10% of their training costs, but after facing opposition, they opted for a flat fee of €100. This measure aims to refocus the CPF on training programs that are better aligned with labor market needs.
